| Our Past |

Founded in 1950 as a small workshop.
In the idyllic village, named Gorenje.
First solid fuel cooker was produced in 1958.
Fast growing „start-up“ moved its base to the young town of Velenje in 1960.
Significant role in the area, providing employment mostly to the wives of miners employed in the nearby lignite mine.

Philippe Starck is an internationally acclaimed French creator, designer and architect.

His profound comprehension of contemporary mutations, his determination to change the world, his anticipatory concern for environmental implications, his love of ideas, his desire to defend the intelligence of usefulness – and the usefulness of intelligence – have accompanied one iconic creation after the other.
